The lover, the visitor & the fringe

First one all off: Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and your support! I appreciate it sooo, sooooo much! It means a lot to me to receive your feedback and your point of views! Also it’s so great and such an inner wealth to become known of you and to share thoughts, meanings, sorts of style, senses of humor, sunny moments and – very important – fears, tears and sorrows.
I’m very thankful to be a part of your – and our – community.

So, let me come to one of the most impressive picture movies I have seen. Of course they’re are a lot of great movies with magnificent style. One of my favorite’s is “The lover”. It’s not among my favorite movie list (hell, Jane March is beautiful but boring in almost the same manner.
But definitely when it comes to my favorite style in movies, there it is :)
I was searching the internet up and down for some pictures – and there wasn’t anything useful at all.
So I’ve ordered the DVD and took some screenshots to show you some scenes out of it – with my favorite looks. Attention, this is going to be a posting with some more pictures…. :)

Jane March is showing one of my most favorite + impressive looks ever: A simple silk dress with some embroideries on front, some well worn vintage satin & rhinestone heels, a flimsy black belt – and this amazing men’s hat…. Hey – and look at her plaits!
Each scene is as beautiful as canvas….

Thank you so much for the blog comment! I’m dying to wear them at a party, but I don’t go to parties very often… And it would be kind of embarrissing to wear it at school (because of the sound the heels make on the floor), so I really don’t know when I should wear them, but they’re still nice to have at home! :O

For me too this film is quite beautiful, and has always been a source of inspiration, after I saw it the first time I went to buy a Borsalino hat! Beautiful costumes, beautiful photography. Rupert is fantastic, what a wonderful little creature! must be a thrill every time he arrives. Beautiful ankle boots, I like them very much both with skirts or dresses, or with trousers. and then that sand color is really cool!

    Hi Sofie!!

These are BEAUTIFUL pics!!! Thank u for bringing them to my attention! I absolutely love her outfit!!! It’s simple but with beautiful, feminine, luxurious details that bring the outfit together so well. I have decided that I MUST get a hat like that for myself… as soon as possible! And wear it in the summer with a simple silk dress and belt!

By the way, the fringe booties look comfy and cute!! Have TONS of fun wearing them!!
